How To Help

Planned and Estate Giving

Bequests

Giving through your will or trust is one of the easiest ways to leave a gift for the Bridge House.  You can include any type of asset in a bequest to the Bridge House, ensuring your estate will help support those in need in your community.  Making a bequest can also reduce estate taxes and eliminate capital gains taxes while benefiting the Bridge House.

To leave a bequest, simply include wording such as the following in your will:

“I give, devise and bequeath to the Bridge House, Inc., a New Hampshire 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation located in Plymouth, NH, [% of assets or specific dollar amount] for the benefit of [specific program or general operating support].”

Retirement Plan Beneficiary

Making the Bridge House a beneficiary of an insurance policy or retirement plan is another way to make a planned gift to the shelter.   You can name the Bridge House as a sole beneficiary or as one among numerous beneficiaries. Ask the administrator of your policy or plan for a designation form if you wish to make this type of gift.
